do you mean if you're trying to rank a person or an entity? either way, it's an interesting question. maybe as a thank you to those more deeply involved in google plus?

Google ranking for what? A business?Well, they say Google does show up results for Google plus business pages...in its attempt to make more people switch to it.

I guess NO. Google+ is a great way to promote your business and free marketing as well as some organic traffic but I doubt that how much it's effective to get a good PR.

yes its gives you Your Plus Pages , Results more higher then usual SERP. It has been seen that after you want to get indexed quickly post your url in your profile or just +1 your pages . you will definitely indexed in google within 15 minutes . But still no chance to improve SERp seen .
