Default The "Google keyword tool" works?

I have a question about the "Google keyword tool" as I have been working with a friend in the organic position of a webpage. The market that I use is for English speaking people in all regions or countries where the language is spoken, I have selected these steps correctly and I found a "keyword" that reported 200 000 searches per month it means about 6666 daily searches, I've been working a lot with this keyword for months, and finally the webpage was between the first and second position of the first page of the international Google search engine. Also I use too much Alexa.com and Google Analytics tools , then I realized when I was viewing the Google Analytics statistics which certainly I put all the tracking codes in each and every one of the pages of this website where I work and I saw that being in the position 1-2 from the first page of Google search, I saw that it only received 15 to 20 visits per day, at first I thought it was a mistake, but it corroborates with the emails that came through the contact form of the webpage which I work with. I've been following up for 3 months and still receive between 15 – 25 visits per day from position 1 to 2 on the first page of Google search engine. It must have been receiving more daily visits according to Google keyword tool (6000 approx. per day), but not so.
At the end of the day I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use "Google Keyword tool" to search a market target, also after to work for months to stay in the first positions in Google and not worthwhile it.

Well, I have here some graphics what I am talking about:

This is the position for the international Google Search Engine, the page is in the second position:

When I checked the Google keyword tool, the keyword “Spanish School” show me this result:

This is how Google Analytics show me its result about my website

what could be other keyword tool to use?

Greetings to all and thanks for the opinions that could give me about it.

May I know what kinds of web hosting your using now?
    It's bandwidth limited?
Have you insert the tracking code into every page? Maybe you can use new type of asynchronous tracking code.

Strange, your site should have a lot of visitors??

Have you checked your keyword at google trends? (ClickHere)

Maybe its a result of fluctuations.

I recommend to use more than only one keyword research tool to avoid this kind of time wasting.

ensure to switch the keyword tool from match type "Broad" to "Exact". this helps usually a bit as well to get exact numbers.

    Agree!
"Spanish" and "school" are very competitive keywords, that`s why there are so many broad searches, but exact would be better. Remember, better not perfect...no keyword tool is 100% accurate

Major fraction of traffic one can obtain from search engines is Google, you require to aim what’s hot on Google and look for the keywords that could endorse your website on search engine results. You can look up for the trends at trends.google.com to see what’s the most hot topic that people are currently searching for on Google.

its really a surprising thing that your site is on 2nd position and searches perday are good still 20-25 visits...?

Same issue i have with Google keyword suggestion tool, my keyword was about 60,000 global searches and i am on top 4 for some time for that keyword. No traffic at all, i have really work hard for this keyword but when i got up at first page, just 10 to 15 daily visitors, i think there is some issue with Google keyword tool. Now i am also using wordtracker as Google adword tool is not reliable.

may be this can be the case only with you because i am using this software from a lomg time and i observed that the tool is good and showing accurate results but the main thing is that i also used another tools they are also similar that. We know that "no one is perfect in the world", the same condition with tool some times it shows wrong result but most often it is good.

The Google keyword tool will help you choose relevant and popular terms related to your selected key-term. It picks up different keyword phrases that people commonly search for.
