Thread: Doing keyword research in the right way

By focusing on the keywords I should focus on, I am trying to develop my SEO strategy. Though I have been using particular software for the keyword research there are some confusions in my mind.

Handbags are what my site deals with and according to my understanding, keywords based on the color, style and material is what I should focus on.
I have been trying to come up with my category names after doing my thorough research on Google keyword finder. Is there anyone who can guide me whether I am going about this in the accurate manner?

Hi, when doing keyword research you should remember about the competition - if its level is high, it will be difficult to rank high by that keyword in Google.

The main thing as someone suggested is competition, make sure you can compete with the guys on the front page for the same keywords. If the keyword is popular and other guys have more money to promote and drive traffic, then you're in an uphill struggle.
