PR is a useless thing to put an effort for it, but just to see your PR, I think tools are more accurate.
"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."

Always useful to use more than one checker tool when looking up pr. Personally, i would be more inclined to go with what the checker tools say rather than toolbar.
zhere is loads of websites wit accurate page rank check, just google the term and you will find them, don't rely on toolbar too much.
All the tools use in determining PR is not accurate. It will just give you the estimated rank of your site based on their computation.
I think decide on a page rank measure that you like - then measure all other pages against it. For instance I use the SEOmoz page rank tool to determine a page’s worth for link building purposes.
Some claim the google toolbar in your browser is a little out of date like a few months old. But, most online tools and resources pull the data from the same so I don't see how one would be much more accurate than another. Others are using some best guess based on other data that they are really just guessing at. So who knows really.
I always prefer Google Toolbar to check PR. It is advisable to use both Google toolbar and other PR checker tool like search status.
Page Rank (much like SERPs) will show differently to different people until all the Google servers update. You can access various individual google IPs for centers located in L.A. and they'll sometimes show different results than those servers in Chicago. When you see flux like that you just need to wait it out.

There is not such type of difference between page rank and google tool bar......
Yep, I 100% agree with you! It's sometimes used by people in order to sell links (ex: I have PR5 and PR6 available), but beyond that, it's not much use to anyone any more.
