I am here to understand about your knowledge or experience. I desire learning what precisely top page rank website in a directory indicates. Can anybody inform me if this is beneficial or not? Is there any risk involved here? I am keen to clearing these uncertainties because of a web directory. I am aiming to integrate top page rank websites associated to my directory’s categories. Nothing wrong with more pagerank. Google hasn't updated or provided a major pagerank update in a while now though. Higher pagerank can attract more, but it can attract more spammers too creating more work for you. There are cases where a site will have a fairly high pagerank, but not so much traffic. Just depends on the site. I would prefer traffic over pagerank, or ideally a combination of the two.

High page rank is very good for site. It shows the importance of your site in the viewpoint of Google.

I agree with Misa, PR is not only responsible for traffic but you need to go optimize your site for tagrgeted keyword. Its a value for showing the importance of a web page and its good to have high PR.

I think high page rank doesn't matter in serp, because there are thousand of website available on the net, which is on the 1st page of google and without page rank. Page Rank is like a importance of a website in the view of google, you can also get some good proposal for adding backlinks in your website, if you provide the backlinks to your site you can earn good money, also you will get the good adsense amount from google by google ads.

Because google is refusing to update page rank as it encourages unnatural link building by us lot its best to just concentrate on seeing your results with the serps you are getting.
