I use webmaster tools on a daily basis. I especially like the search queries tab. I don't use it for making major decisions, but is a great way to see trends in searches for your site. It's also a way to find opportunities for new keywords if you filter searches out by web/image/mobile etc.

And of course the crawl errors section is good too. Helps you find and fix 404 errors.
