Thread: Rise of Google social search with Google +1

Google new SERP update featuring +1 services, will help user to refer websites they like to their connected friends. This acts in the same way as that of facebook likes.

Impact of +1 services on Google SERP ranking is still under a debate. Hope, it will help the end users to find the best result.

I think it's a crap feature.

Why would I +1 something before even clicking on the website? Surely I need to read the website, decide if it's worthy of my +1 and then go back to the search results and click +1 - which just isn't going to happen.

IMO it's only going to be used by marketing folk to try and increase rankings. No normal person would use it.
