Thread: Google Or Bing

Hello guys,

I have heard from one of my friends that Bing will take over Google in the upcoming couple of months. I this is rumor or true?

Give suggestion so that I explained to my friend.

Google has a 64% market share for March 2011 and Bing/Yahoo have a 30% market share. Keep in mind that Yahoo results are powered by Bing. That being said, I don't see that Bing would overtake Google within a few months, maybe years but not a few months. The rise of Bing recently may be attributed to the new IE9 release also.

I don't have any inside information (if I did, I'd be dumping money in the stock market) but my personal opinion is that Google will be powering and dominating the search engine world for many years to come.

bing is a good search engine. But overtaking Google is a different story. Google is so good.

As per my view Google is better than Bing in context of web search and image search. Google is faster and you can view more result at time as compared to Bing. For example Bing shows maximum 50 page results and Google shows 100 page results at time.

I agree with you that impossible for Bing over taking in few months because Google is most valuable and most famous search engine.

It is true that Bing had increased its market share for the last month by 1%. From somewhere around 14% which is now around 15%. But that 1% is still way far from the market share of Google which is around 70%.

I normally use google for my all work or need to find our anything online. their search results are awesome. bing is coming up but i think they need some changes in their search result.

Rumors and only rumors as Bing will never overcome Google as it is impossible at all.

It's no doubt Google is the best search engine. Who is the top? obviously they have many competitors. Lets see who is the best in future.

I dont think that Bing is going to beat Google in coming months but Facebook is going to give a great challenge. so you would have seen many changes in Google regarding competition with Facebook.

I wouldn't count on bing beating google anytime soon, probably never would be more like it. If facebook keeps up the popularity and ever got into search more they would likely give google more competition than bing would.

I must not agree with this coz google is the 1st SE which holds many information from the world wide but Bing is not ....Google has a huge database and implemented many tools for the Internet marketing and for others also ...so compared to this I always support to Google .

google is far ahead than bing . Bing is new , and have a lot of improvement to be done in its search results . Sooner or later , people will start using Bing , if it is better than google .

Yes, i agree with these figures that you point out for Google, Yahoo and Bing. But Facebook is gonna give google great competition in terms of using it.

I'm new to the field of SEO, and I think there is no doubt that Google is dominant compared to others！

But I think Bing is becoming better and better, it worth a try!

Bing will not take over Google, at least not anytime in the following years. Google still has the most popularity and I don't see it diminishing very much.

Bing is nowhere near Google in terms of searches. If you want verification take a look at your own analytic data and see how much traffic comes from each. Bing will most likely be a fraction in comparison to Google.

Well all the way here Google is best option here.

I don't think so i thin in near future no body can beat google because google is a monster of search engine.

I'm pretty sure this is not going to happen, but it could. Where did your friend get the source from?

if i ask somebody which is the best search engine they say google
i have never heard yahoo or bing
everyone use google

I like Google. everyone saying Google is best and fast searching facility.

There are some news that can published easily but in reality tough to be practical Google is still market leader of search engine. It will take long time for bing to overtake Google.

Yeah and this figure was for US market share, globally google having 80+ market share i seen in almost since last one year.

I think it's not possible for bing. If Bing overtaking google why you afraid.

I have not heard this about Bing. I find it hard to believe Bing will take over google. When it comes to longtail keywords bings traffic has never given me anything like google has. Now facebook is the real easy traffic I love it.

I have to agree that Google have most of the market share but good marketers are making far more money using just bing . Big has 34% of the market and we are not talking about just a few people that is a lot of traffic even known that doesn't come close to google but while others fight to dead to get ranked on google others go after bing rnak easier and make more money. At the end is up to you.

I don't think so, bing is slow in indexing and mostly users have already complaints about this so it will so hard to take over Google for them.

If we discuss about google and bing then we realized that bing is nothing than google because is the best and It is most popular search engine so no doubt about this.

I have heard somewhere that Bing will take over Yahoo. Anyways, I feel that Google is the Best Search Engine to use and I like to use it. It's Search Results are more well defined and also take very less time to be displayed.
