What do you think about Bing and Baidu or yahoo? can they monopolise the search engine market

No way. The only possible competitor I thought would be Cuil, but they shut down for financial reasons.

I don't think so, they to do lot more improvisation to compete google search engine

I think anyone who can beat Google is not search engine, but Social networking sites like Face book or Linked In.

As of now, I dont think so. I dont think and other search engine so far ca beat Google. Google leads the search engine far beyond the other search engine.

My vote goes to Google, no one can beat Google. Day by day Google is more powerful & stronger.

If Microsoft and Yahoo invest more in QUALITY results (No spammy-SERPS) and change their names to anything else plus invest HARD in advertising, MAYBE they can beat Google, one day...

Yahoo! and Microsoft are working together, they will get bigger but might never surpass Google. Unless Google does something stupid..

I think it all really. without exception the google search engine.

Since the number of Chinese users is going to eclipse English, I would say Baidu has a pretty good chance.

I think only yahoo can beat Google because yahoo home page is too attractive than Google. Their are many quality services offered by Yahoo same as Google.

So far, Yahoo is the closest search engine next to Google. But still, Google keeps steps far ahead from other search engine.

I dont think Baidu can manipulate the search engine because it is not using a universal language and most people are chinese speaking so its hard to comprehend such site...But I think Google can be beaten by any site if they would just implement the likes of Google adsense and PR ranking wherein people can earn from their site

As of now there is no SE which is atleast near to google which can beat it

As far as mindless machine power, Google is definitely unstoppable at this point. But I agree that its quality is one of those "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" ideas. I refused to use google for years, it just seemed impersonal. It still does, but it is generally the most simplistic search option. I have slacked in my use of google recently because it has turned the web into little more than a beggars market. I prefer yahoo and bing for general use. Only use Google now for market comparisons.

Well if facebook and twitter merge up and start their search engine, they can beat google as both these social networks have great traffic.. but it seems very unlikely to me..

My guess is that with current situation noone can beat google as a Serach engine.
Bing and Yahoo together are used by cca 20% people, but about 80% are using Google.

I think in two years, the search engine market will be chance a lot. Bing comes very hard in front. Blekko is a new search engine. It seems to offer very complete data until now. Will see. Nobody is invincible !

I don't think something's geared up to beat Google in the short run. Google is incomparable at the moment. But we can never really tell in the far future. Who knows, some genius might come up with something better and more powerful.

Now a days a new is in the air that Bing and Facebook are joining hands they have the can go pass google if they go in right way .....

As a SE only Bing can do competition with Google but only in few years

Beating Google is not impossible, but as of now, I think they don't have the capacity to beat Google.

Definitely Google is the best search engine. I think, as a search engine Google is always one step ahead than its rivals. Yahoo is a old competitor of Google, however, Bing is also gaining more popularity day by day.

Though the social media site of Google is not so popular like Facebook but as a search engine i don't think any other search engine can beat Google.

Facebook can beat google.

Just imagine, if someone praises about your product or service in Facebook how much benefit you will have.

I think in today scenario, Facebook marketing has become as much important as Search engine optimization.
