Thread: Which is important in SEO?SERP or PR?

As we all are familiar with SEO, In this,we all should be aware from two different words first is "PR" and second is "SERP".I would like to know which is the main factor in terms of SEO?

Both PR and SERP are important for SEO point of view.PR will help to get good back links for High PR sites.SERP will help you to get more visitors.This will result in key word improvement and also back links.

The important thing is get visitors or potential customers so one and only thing according to this is important "SERP"...

Since PR was totally useless, that leaves SERP. Besides, having a good SERP position gives a site more possibility to gain traffic

Today SERP is considered more important than any other factor because of high competition they just want high traffic.

In terms of SEO -- SERP is more important than PR and the reason is

PR means just a page rank while SERP means Search Engine Rank Position. Now if your site have PR-1 or 2 and SERP-1 then what does it means that instead of pagerank of your site is low but your site postion is high in search engine. Which means you site have lots of traffic and have quality backlinks.

Thus SERP is more important but I am not saying that PR is totally useless it is also important coz many considered high PR site as genuine site.

Both have their own importance and value But according to my point of view PR is a much better than SERP.

No prize for guessing - SERP undoubtedly! After all, that’s what the whole SEO game is all about!
PR is a very minor factor in determining SERP, something we shouldn’t be bothered about...

We can see that both of them are important according to what Matt Cutts said!

Search engine optimization to get high SERPs on Google and any other search engines. Most effective thing is to get higher ranking on search engines. And these three points are mutually related.

SEO is a must thing which every one favor rather than his/her site is on top or not but Good SEO. whereas SERP is better than PR because webmaster needs real users of their site on daily basis for which he does all things.

PR and SEO are important things and it give you good SERP result.

Both are valuable but I am working on SEO. Because SEO improve SERP results.

There are way too many factors in SEO that it is not limited to just PR or SERPs.

if you link seller then maybe you will want to have best PR you can get, if you adsense player maybe you will want to have best SERP you can get, if you have e commerce site then maybe its convertion rate, so the answer is its depend

Since, most of the sites on Internet are seeking for more customers and visitors via search engine to earn or generate revenue through ads, I think the most important thing for them must be the SERP. PR is just a remark given by Google, in reality there is no much use of it for businesses.

these are interrelated. The use of doing seo is to rank the page and to obtain PR.

These two are different factors. Nothing can be compared between them

I totally agree with this. PR is nice to show that what authority your site has. But SERP gives you real traffic.

SERP is most important for SEO. For better SERP you need to build quality back links.

PR and SERP are both important in SEO. While PR determines the value of a webpage in Google search engine, whereas SERP maintains the position based on the keywords used.

SEO = Search Engine Optimization
SERP = Search Engine Result Page
PR = Page Rank

Each of them are different but very related, maybe.

Theoretically, you need to understand and implemented SEO techniques to get better SERP and PR of your site(s).

I think SERP (Search Engine Ranking Page) is important in SEO
