Google panda update do not give priority to the directory submission.New update gives priority to the fresh and unique content.

Google's algorithm... the foundation of google is based on backlinks... Panda or Grizzly bear, none will change this fact.

The new algorithm is totally base on unique content. If your site content is copy so you have a no chance to improve your site search results.

In the current scenario when there is an overwhelming amount of websites for every word you type on the search box, Google is spending million of dollars on filtering original content from the duplicates to provide quality results.Previous to the Google Panda update it was easy to rank with duplicate content,but presently, you run a risk of getting penalized.
Isn't it true that only relevant ,unique and Updated content can attract and retain followers to your website.

I think it is fair as you make a site which has been duplicated, you are likely to be punished. Everyone should be responsible for their actions.

New changes by Google has specifically target UK region very badly, top business websites on google ranking fall downs due to the changes, it has effect badly to the UK region.

Yes, I agree. Actually Google Panda is a new algorithm by Google which prevents content farming. This algorithm filters unique and relevant content of the site. If your site contains poor quality content, then there are chances that your site may get penalized by Search Engine. The main aim of this algorithm is to provide good and quality search result to the users. And that is the reason why there are major changes in Search Result.

Do you have a link or proof that Panda update does not take directory submissions into consideration?

Hello,

Yes, I agree with you that Google panda update mainly concentrate on content. As in SEO content is king everybody should write fresh content for their website or blog, if your content is copied from others then you might be affected by Google panda update. The last panda update was between February and March 2011.

Google is always messing and tweaking their algorithm. You never know what they are going to do next. I think they like to mess with people so nobody can figure them out. Usually they just to small subtle little tweaks, but some have suggested that the recent change was a little more drastic than expected.

Google wants to decrease visibility as well as relevant supply that is fake, Google penalized the thin content and will give the priority to the unique content Just to supply most relevant search to potential user that's what Google panda says

Google doesn't give so much priority to directories even before the update. And it's not only directories that got affected with it.

It's not totally giving no priority to directory submission, Google panda has made to focus on website's contents.

Yes don't think to increase number of backlinks for your site. Just update your website content and make it human friendly. you'll get good rank on Google.
