    Default Adobe photoshop settings

Ok, I just got a new photoshop, I lost my last registration key and never realized how much I had the last one customized meaning my tools on screen etc. How do I get it so that I can get text o move by my arrow keys versus the mouse big jumps in changing position?

Can't believe I can't figure this out but I can't. I used to have it setup fine but, apparently its not a standard function :P Who knew? LOL

If the move tool is selected, you should be able to use the arrow keys by default to move anything.

I move something with the mouse then fine tune with arrow keys that move it one pixel at a time.

I know, thats what I used to do too, but the move tool doesn't automatically bring up the box and allow me to use my arrow keys to micro-move anymore. Weird huh?

And if you hold shift and an arrow key, you move 10 pixels at a time.

No box ever comes up for me, I have CS2, are you using CS3 by chance? Sounds like the installation is corrupted, and not like me, in a bad way. :lep-tongue:

I didn't know that. Been using PS6 and now 7 for like over 2 years. But then again I've never read any sort of manual or instructions.:lep-shocked:

I didn't know for 2-3 years into using it either and I never read a manual or instructions. Some tutorial mentioned it in a step when making a button. That's how I pick up most little things I learned I'd otherwise not know, from someone else mentioning it.

No I re-bought CS2. just annoying when you get things all setup like you like them, then have to reinstall everything and it isn't all nice again. Thanks for the ideas guys :-)
