photoshop.
unless it's for clients who would need vector versions eventually, where i use corel draw.
Fireworks it's easy and powerful.

photoshop cs3 for me
Gimp for most of my work as I can't own photoshop. (Not that rich :P)
Illustrator ..
I dont use photoshop because I dont know how to. But I design logos using Adobe Illustrator CS. It's very handy and useful also easy to design. I have made all my proxy websites logo through Adobe Illustrator Cs.
Thank You
Chuman
For those who cant afford Photoshop CS3 you should try GIMP, Gimp is very good and similar to photoshop, there are many tutorials on the WWW for photoshop and gimp, just stick with it and you will get there, we all have to learn something new now and then.
For a very easy alternative you should take a look at Real Draw 3D it does have a 30 day trial and I find it great for buttons and banners alike, check it out at mediachance.com
Thanks
jojo
I have GIMP as well.
What's nice about Gimp is that it is a freeware.![]()
When I make my own logos I used photoshop![]()
I work with fireworks and Freehand

I used to use Fireworks, but finally gave into my husbands whining about how Photoshop was so much better and tried it out. Once I started playing with it, I was hooked although graphic design is definitely not my forte, I love messing around in there =)
Althou they are now one and the same,
I have always liked Macromedia's software over Adobe's, I guess that is just a matter of personal preference!
m a graphic designer too so i use photoshop![]()

I use Gimp for my own simple logos!!!

Photoshop for editing with texts and The Logo Creator from LaughingBird for Pics.. :P

I mostly use PhotoShop.
But if you don't have PhotoShop I recommend Gimp for other people.
Adobe Illustrator.
Adobe Photoshop is the only choice for me!

MS Paint for me.

I use photoshop
Illustrator for logo work
Photoshop for web design

None...I get this guy from this webhostingtalk forum![]()

I am using photoshop cs3 expensive software admittedly but it is worth it in my opinion.

MS Paint for all my banners and logos. I use cooltext a lot as well then just put them together with photos etc.
I use photoshop, when the client needs a vector logo it is very hard thoe, I do not recommend photoshop when doing vector logos.
Photoshop CS (man I need an upgrade!) + Illustrator (for vectors)
Photoshop for web purposes, Illustrator for anything else.
Adobe Illustrator is best for logos if you are going to use it in some other stuffs like tshirt printing or banners. You can also make logos with photoshop but it's fairly limited.
I am using a pre-release version of Adobe Illustrator CS4. I think its the only software that you can use to create professional logos.
