    Default www.joongel.com and free photos

    1) Go to Joongel, Internet The Easy Way
    2) type in anything
    3) change category to images
    4) click search

The 3rd box on the right that says: "Find Creative Commons and royalty free images of..."

By doing this search and using images from the various sites under this category, is this legal to use these images on my website?

    Thanks.

Depends on the creative commons license it may be royalty free however some versions of the CC license require attribution aka a link back or some require it only be used for non-commercial work and if you're running ads on your website it's commercial work. Other versions are yet more restrictive whereby you cannot create and derivatives from the work which means you cannot edit the picture. You can look at the different CC licenses here: http://creativecommons.org/about/license/

stock.xchng - the leading free stock photography site has lots of great high resolution photos/images most are free some require attribution but it's spelled out on the download page.

I've been using Wikimedia Commons more and more: Wikimedia Commons best of all they require the the images be GPL'd which means their free to use worldwide with no restrictions.

You can always play Russian Roulette and use Google Image Search.
