What do you think about Photoshop CS4? As for me I like it very much.

Meh, theres not much new that would make me upgrade from CS3. It looks nicer, thats about it.
I LOVE it...but I didn't have CS3 :-P
Photoshop CS4 has some enhanced features, compared to CS3.
i've used CS2 and CS3 id better check the CS4.![]()

Still happy enough with CS3 i dont see the point in upgrading everytime a new version comes out. I think they should charge less for upgrades to reward existing customers.
Im still on CS2 and told CS3/CS4 have so many great new features, im sure CS4 will both look 21st century and probably have a few new tools!
Footylad
Its awesome, it has all the features you need
I'm still using CS3 and although my husband offered an upgrade, I declined because I really really really have got use to CS3 and do not wish to learn anything new lol
Honestly speaking, until now, I am well satisfied with how my Adobe Photoshop CS works.
I don't see any reason to upgrade at all right now. It pretty well do my work right so I think it is not a big deal at all.![]()
Personally i am using photoshop cs3 . But ive heard that the new 3d feature in cs4 is great.
I don't feel much difference as in, just some UI changes.
Bulk Email Software - Serving 20,000+ happy customers w/ our Email Software.
Micro Niche Builder - Build SEO Friendly Sites that CONVERT LIKE CRAZY for Adsense, Amazon, & Clickbank!
Not enough in it to make the move from CS3 worth it.
don't feel much difference as in, just some UI changes.
CS4 heavy for OLD PC Req. 2GB ram and 256Grapic card
They have added some features but its not a product refresh, in my view if you have cs3, then no incentive to trade up
hmm I've already tried out using Photoshop CS4 the only thing that I don't like about it is it's docking features and I guess that the Photoshop CS4 eats out a lot of RAM compare to its previous releases. But over all CS4 is great.
I got their demo version for my personal testing.
looks is different from cs2 which I am currently using but on my field (photo editing) it has no big difference, CS2 still have all I need may be up to this time![]()
I don't think I'm going to use photoshop cs4. Photoshop cs3 is more then I need to make banners, picture etc.
Looks like UI changes and that's it...no thanks.
The big difference between cs4 and cs3 is cs4 is really optimized for 3d. If you do a lot of 3d work then you probably will find it has great advantages. It also has a new interface with tabbed picture viewing, I find this helpful but it isn't an important change.

i like it but i use cs3 coz its easier to use it..
its cool but i prefer using cs2 as it has better images
I think its the same as CS3 just the design has been twicked a bit..
I only know how to use photo shop 2003. Is the one you mention much different??
I still use CS3 because is more user friendly and CS4 consumes a lot of RAM memory.
But hey, CS5 is coming very fast...with awesome features

CS4 was ok imho. It's obsolete now anyways.. I would recommend taking a look at CS5, digital picture editor, photo editor | Adobe Photoshop CS5

I'm happy to CS3... I feel CS4 will only make the computer slower and keep forcing more updates I don't really need.
Photoshop cs5 has been released ! I can't wait to get it , because I did not like the cs4 . Used cs3 all the time .
PS is great, it totally has its place. I prefer GIMP for web design stuff unless I am working with photographs and then PS is the way to go.

Hi, currently i m using cs-3 .i will check soon.

I personally haven't noticed a difference since Photoshop 7.0. I've been using Photoshop to design my sites for years and not much as changed except some graphical UI changes and smaller size compressions.
And CS5 just came out I believe and I can't tell a difference between it and CS4. This upgrade from Adobe is just a way to get some quick money I think. As much as I hate how they charge for their products, I can't live without them.
I will give a try for Photoshop CS4
Latest technology is always good than the previous version.
But in this case Photoshop 7 is much better than cs4
you just need to install some filters, thats it
You guys should be thinking about CS5 now! :P Time for a new thread!

I think all these new updates to this program are only of relevence to you depending what you use Photoshop for.
If all you use it for is to crop photos, adjust the brightness and contrast and save as a jpeg, well then Photoshop 7.0 will work just fine for you.
I use CS3 and have heard that CS4 has better capabilities for using the programme to paint with - like Corel Painter - but that it eats RAM, and was advised to avoid it as it uses so much memory.
So, the answer is, unless you need all the extra filters and bits and pieces that they add, most older versions of Photoshop should work fine for you.
Each version is Photoshop is bringing more shine and some new possibility (like as Enhanced integration between Photoshop CS4 and Photoshop® Lightroom). The most important changes were in the engine, which is fast becoming more and more demanding in terms of resources necessary for smooth operation...
Although the new Photoshop is simply shines, I does work quite well with CS2...
