Default Graphics program. Don't know where this goes.

Has anyone used maya? Is It hard to learn? How much does it cost? And, do I have to have a beefy PC to use it?

I think the price came down when Autodesk bought them at the back end of last year. I would think you need a very heavy duty PC to run it.

It intrigues me what someone in rentals would want with a 3D graphics animation tool normally used in the film industry

    Default Yes you do.

You need to have avery beefy PC. I know someon that works for Disney. And. They work as an animator. They have two Video Cards(Top Of The Line.) They also have a Mac. The PC has a bit of trouble keeping up when rendering. The Mac he says is the best to use. If you are going to get a Maya then U should Get a Mac to go with it. Or at least the other way around it.
