Hi,
Save it as a gif.
I don't know if this is the correct way but it is what I do.
Open Adobe.
Do what you want to with the pic.
Under file go to save for Web.
On the pop up window that opens on the right side change the jpg to gif
Save.
Hope that helps.

Sami is right, but for me since I'm using microsoft paint, I do the following to create a gif Image.
1. You have to Open the Microsoft Paint in the accessories folder on your Start menu.
2. Create the image or if you have image available
3. Click File then Save and choose where you want to save your image.
4. then, Click "Save as type" and choose GIF.
Then Presto. You have your image gifs.
Aren't you talking about .gif animating format.. If you want to do animation you can do in Adobe Image Ready because it only supports Animation in Photoshop Pack
If you want to make animated gifs you can create multiple layers in Photoshop and edit each layer as separate frames for your animated gif. I've done that and then saved each layer as separate gifs. After I had my frames I imported the frames into Ulead Gif Animator to create the animation. You can make animated gifs from scratch in Ulead but I haven't done it that way. When you want to show off your work you can find a cheap website hosting company to show off your stuff.

Fireworks is great for animated gifs but its kinda pricey.
TGIFImage is a full TGraphic implementation,It reads, writes and displays animated GIFs and can convert to and from TBitmap (i.e. the BMP format) and any other TGraphic derived format (e.g TJPEGImage, TIcon and TMetaFile).TGIFImage can either be used stand-alone or as part of Delphi’s extensible TImage/TPicture/TGraphic framework. When used in connection with the TImage component, TGIFImage registers itself with the TPicture class, giving you instant support for the GIF format
use Microsoft Pain!

Use Image Ready for animating GIFs. It is a lot easier and you can make easy transitions. I remember a while back I used Image Ready to make some animated GIFs for my signatures on forums.

Well Dave, I am not familiar with this Microsoft product, although I believe it is about time Microsoft started calling their products more realistic names!!! LOL
Soon they should come out with Microsoft Crap! and Microsoft Shit! LOL
NOTE: This was a joke, I am sure Dave meant Paint!!!!

Was I not supposed to?
I apologize, will never do it again!
When I saw it, I couldn't pass it up. :-(
Hi) so if you are studying Photoshop you must know about changing the type of file...i'm surprised if you not) so do it, it must help you)
Use Image Ready for animating
Depends on the program you are using and the version. In older versions of photoshop use the export function to export as a .gif. New versions just save for web using .gif settings. Publisher just save as .gif.

and thanks simplyamazing12 you give me new information
Use Photoshop, it is very easy
While saving change the format to CompuServe-GIF. But if you want to make an animation or something go through the tutorials.
