Thread: What is the best PHP or .net based dynaic website ?

There is some doubt in my mind regarding the security of the website. As i have heard so many cases that many websites are gone hacked. so i want to know that what will be the best to get rid of it ? Should i need to get my website devolped in PhP or in .net but in reasonable budget ?

I think PHP is better than .net based dynamic website.

I initially started out learning .net and ASP etc.. but then I switched over to PHP very short after and have never went back.. for me, PHP is the way to go.

PHP has more capability for sure. It is used in almost every script I've seen for Linux servers. It is robust and easy to code.
It is also easy on the server which makes loading times much faster.

Oh great i have got 100% vote for the PhP. I already have preferred PhP too. I am totally agree with all of your point. But i have found a good point here and want to discuss. The main disadvantage of .net based website is that you don't get the source code from the developer and in this way you always need help from the same developer if you something to get change and it's not good.

No doubt PHP is a best.

well .net is another PHP platform so i think if you handle PHP .net won't be a problem!

I've worked with both of them. Now I do almost all my website work with php.

PHP is free - it's very easy to learn - it's open source - free.

Sorry asp.net but PHP gets my vote.

I think PHP and Asp.net both are best on his position both are provide Security.But PHP is best way it is Simple compare with .net.

Use a bit common sense, there is no better - there is well and there is badly written code. It doesn't matter as soon as it is well coded and fit your need. And of course there are other languages and the same apply for Python, Java, Smalltalk, etc.
