I think website design is easy than redesign. Because in redesign we need some extra than older design

well it depends . Website design can be easier if you know exactly what you want to design and how you want it design but website redesign could also be easier if you like the design but want to redesign it to make it look better which means you'd need to edit it less which therefore makes it easier.

It really depends on whether or not you know exactly what you want in either case. If you have to think up new concepts and ideas for your design and redesign, then I would say that both are about the same. However, if your redesign is just an upgrade, i.e. based on your old design, then I would say that redesigning is easier.

I think redesigning is difficult think but designing is easy.

Both is easy for you if you are a good web designer and web developer.

It depends how much your modifying it. IF your modifying it , e.g changing colours text etc then modifying would be easier however if your modifying e.g changing the layouts , your better off just designing a website from scratch and possibly try copy the design of the template you wanted to modify.

The golden rule of website design is this: visitors to your site should be able to find what they are looking for as easily and quickly as possible.

This is too hard to answer. It's depending of the ability

Well, as per of our staff designing from the scratch is easy compare to web redesigning because in web redesigning you need to think and create designs that is applicable or similar from the old site.
Everything that you need to do is depends on the previous/old design.

Actually, its depend on your thinking. I think Web Site Design is easy.

I too, believe Website Design is much better as you start from scratch. Re-design could be difficult as to your members/users may complain on the changes ..

Website design is much easier when the comparison is made with website redesign.

I think website designing is very easy.But redesigning website is very difficult and it is time consuming activity.

Depends on the level of work or things you have to do. designing or redesigning is not the main concern.

The problem with re-designing is that you usually have to figure out how the website was put together and understand all of the elements that make of the website. Once you get to that point then re-designing isn't too hard. I always would rather start something over from scratch though as it gives you all the freedom to get everything the way you want. Re-designing tends to be quicker because many elements aren't having to be changed, and most of my clients would probably have me go that way to save $$ out of their budget.

Of course it depends on the objective of the owner and the expertise of a web designer.
