Warez Site?

well myself i am against piracy and i do what i can to report any i see

but i got thinking it would be cool if a few of us got together and made a site dedacated to reporting warez

like a site that users can go to and report piracy what ya think?

when i was at DP we had a thread going there where people where reporting it but it got closed

I'd love to help with something like this. I can't really help financially...but I'm a decent graphics designer (not excellent...just decent)...and I like to write a lot...

Why do you hate Warez?

many Warez sites are hosted in countries where there are no rules about piracy.

That doesn't make it right still. It is stealing no matter which country it is hosted in. How many use pirated photoshop and then go ahead and start raking in money for the graphics they make with stolen software? :sroll:

I see your point, and I agree with you. It is stealing no matter what country. But nothing will happen to them until their country makes it illegal.

They are not breaking any laws. They could care less about US laws.

You know it. I like the idea, but I don't want to be tied to anything anti-warez, it's just asking to be DDOS'd

Realistically you would be building a website that is powerless to do anything about the warez sites yet will probably be under constant attack from every script kiddie that comes across it..

It will be good if you can develop a site to report the usage of pirated softwares in big companies. I know few of them and one of my friend told his company (he is working in an MNC) using them in production !.

i spend countless hours building web scripts to only find out the lamers out there are providing it free after they have nulled it

If you were walking down the street at night and no one was around and there was a $100 bill laying on the ground... Your telling me that you would walk by it and let it blow away rather than take it? Because its someone elses money?

nope i would pick it up and take it to police station

as being smarter than the ones stealing it

i do my best to protect my work however when the stealer's as you say

the are breaking copyright laws

no matter warez is wrong and people that defend it most likely uses it

we all have our own opinions

The police officer would laugh after you left and he would stick it in his pocket and buy himself a 30 pack on the way home, hop on the internet and then steal some mp3's or dvds and watch a good flick and get drunk.

all i will say is warez is not right if you cannot pay for it don't use it
