Default Question: Online $$$ for Neophytes/Noobs

    Hello there !

Care to share some of your knowledge and expertise ? Your opinion. Just a little bit of info that you could offer. A good tip. You can share some, without necessarily sharing your top-secret methods.

    1. What is the best approach for earning online?
    • Blogging in Wordpress?
    • Forums?
    • Making a website ?! (what kind of website, would you suggest?)

Which of the 3 listed options above could offer a wider scope for online revenue? (for Adsense, Bidvertiser, LinkAds something (forgot), Affiliates, and etc..).

    2. What are the steps to do in preparation for setting up an online income-generating endeavour ?
    A. Acquiring/Securing a Webhost. (which type?)
    • 1. Shared Hosting
    • 2. Reseller
    B. Domain Name. (now which should come first? Acquiring/Securing a Webhost or Domain Name?)

    3. If one would avail of a webhosting service, there's Wordpress in cpanel (Fantastico). What's the difference between that kind of Wordpress and the one in www.wordpress.com ?? Which of the two Wordpress is the preferred blogging approach?

In short, how would one start?
    -------------------------------------

Thank You! .... Any answer(s) would be appreciated.

I actually have a job online, I am self-employed and own a web design business, when I put my mind to it, I do it quite well.

My only advice is to find what you're good at then learn as much as you can about it and get started. That's what I did.

If you go the blogging/forum route it should at least be a topic you're passionate about or you won't stick to it to be honest...

Wordpress in the cpanel is usually the same up to date version found at wordpress.org

Setting up wordpress is easier via the cpanel then downloading it and then reuploading it.
From cpanel, wordpress automatically sets up the database and everything.

And if the version of wordpress in cpanel is not the latest version, very easy to go to wordpress.org and get the updated files to upload.
