Ok, these are the stats i've been provided...via screenshot so they look legit...
5 sites, this is the total of all 5 combined
Uniques per day: 6000+
making about $5-7 per day

catch is these stats are only from the past 7 days...and the sites have only been online for 2 weeks...

whatcha think? asking price is $450...sound too risky to you?

What kind of sites?
How did those sites make money?

Did the seller, to get those kinds of numbers so quick, purchase a boatload of traffic just to pump up the visitor count?

What are the page ranks?
How old are the domains?
Have they been used before and thus got page rank from previous life?

Ask like mad all kinds of questions.

at that amount i would ask to be able to login to there control panel and look at the traffic yourself

You will need about 2 months to earn back the purchase price, I think it is worth it. Traffic would change that much during 2 months time. Anything after 2 months will be your profit.

What you can do is to ask to pay him by installment, in this case you will be quite safe.

he won't do installments for such a low amount...

i know how quickly i would earn the money back, which is why i'm even thinking about this...it's just the very low amount of time the sites have been up that puts me off a little to whether it's a safe deal or not....

i'd be out of luck if he's doing something to fake the stats, then i buy the site and lose money...

Anyone can just throw visitors at a website to boost their numbers.
The fact that the sites are so young would definitely be a concern.

Also... Did you see screenshots of the earnings too?
I would definitely confirm the revenue with proof of some kind.

If you really want to go ahead with this purchase, do your homework thoroughly.
Check Alexa, Google, Yahoo for traffic and link info.
Don't forget to use domain tools too.

The information you gather may turn up something to put you off immediately or may spur you to buy anyway.
