Over this past week I've been watching a series entitled Download: History of the internet on the Science Channel. Link It's presented by a tech reporter who's been in the game since before every company name was suffixed with .com .
It's pretty interesting so far it's pretty much been a review of what I've already read else where but interesting nonetheless. So far topics covered include, The beginning of the internet, early search engines, success stories, the economic effect of the internet (aka The Dot Com Bubble), Napster, eBay, Amazon, and social networking, and web 2.0. I've seen 4 episodes out of the the 6 (I think) part documentary.
Anyhow the Science Channel often runs repeats adnausem and thought some of yous might be interested in the show. There are even some clips at the link above.
