Browse lots of forums? Snap Links is for you

I just found one the most awesome Firefox extensions ever! Snap Links :: Firefox Add-ons

Basically you left click and draw a box around all the link you want to open in new tabs. Instead of middle clicking (or left click > open in new tab) over and over again this makes it one maneuver. Particularly useful for admins who like to keep an eye their forums.

That's a direct download, I couldn't find a landing page for it. Install at your own risk

I choose not to install it since it's from a 3rd party site and I couldn't find any info other then just downloading the extension.

Saw that one earlier today as one of the top ten plugins for firefox.
How do you get it to work to open multiple forums?
How to use it to open multiple sites (not just forums, say for all my sites).

As I could find nothing that said it can be used other than for searches.

For multiple forums create a folder and place it on the bookmarks toolbar. Add all your forum new post searches into this folder when you want to open them all at once right click that folder and select open all in tabs.

FYI: vBulletin based forum new posts URL looks like: <forum root>/search.php?do=getnew

Hey mate thanks for this! However I find my control and shift to work pretty neatly!:twisted:

If you don't know:
When holding control and clicking a link/bookmark that opens in a new tab!
When searching or writing in like a url box hold alt before you hit enter and it opens in a new tab! I hope this make your life a little easier! Just search in toolbars or something for firefox keyboard shortcuts!:love:

It's free however this extension does not work with Firefox 3. I found the plugin at a 3rd party site. I'll update my original post.

This is a cool tool but Im thinking there needs to be something better. For instance, if you could go to once site and submit all the forums you belong to, it will do everything for you. Like you could browse 30 different forums all within one opened window. That would make things a lot easier
