In this day and age, living without the internet seems impossible, especially if you are used to having it and then it gets taken away.

A little over a year ago we had a storm here that was so bad we were without phone service and internet for almost a week.

That's when I got my Windows smartphone. Couldn't last a whole week without internet capabilities. I was losing money and sanity...

The whole experience was a bit unsettling, me being so dependent upon the internet like that.

I'm getting kind of bored of certain aspects of the web.
Emails in particular drive me around the bend... it just seems to be an incessant stream of crap to my inbox everyday. Often I can't be bothered to read them, which just makes matters worse because they mount up even further. At least with snail mail you only get hit once a day and the other person isn't sitting waiting in eager anticipation of a reply.
