Thread: Problems receiving Yahoo email

I've been having problems for a few years now receiving email from certain places to my domain email at kalinawebdesigns.com, so I have everyone use my gmail.com account.

Anyway, last night via a forward from an acquaintance, I noticed an email was sent to me via my sister, but I never got it, I only got it because the acquaintance forwarded it to a bunch of people, including me.

I thought my sister just didn't want to speak to me anymore, I emailed her explaining what I saw and to email me at gmail, which she did, which I received.

So, just now I logged into my yahoo email and sent myself an email at my domain email, I also sent one to yahoo from my domain email. I got the one I sent from my domain email to yahoo, but did not get the yahoo to domain email.

So, I went into cpanel, whitelisted yahoo in the spamassassin, nothing, so I disabled spamassassin, nothing.

I've moved this domain many times due to this issue, nothing works. And no, the email is not in any spam folders, it outright does not arrive to kalinawebdesigns.com period.

So, for about 2 yrs now my sister and I did not communicate and both thought the other was ignoring the other due to fucking yahoo! Yeah I am pissed off. :sangry::ssad: And before you ask, I've been estranged from my sister and other family for more than half our lives, we reconnected via email, that's all.

I've had tons of problems. I had an email which was .btinternet.com which is part of Yahoo and there were lots of emails that I apparently should have got which I didn't so I just binned my Yahoo account. Hopefully someone can shed some light on why this is.

I don't believe my sister is internet savvy and I believe this is the email she's had from her day 1 on the net, I wish I could tell her to just use gmail or something.

I don't get this, how can I email me@kalinawebdesigns.com from me@yahoo.com and not get it? Where the hell did it go then? This pisses me off!

That is quite strange. I have used yahoo mail since it first started and have never had the slightest problem. I have heard stories of people who have had tons of problems but I have never had them. The only problems is I have been on so long that I get 1000s of email spam a day. It makes keeping good email out of the spam folder a hard task.

Sorry you had problems and I hope you get them worked out so you can continue a relationship with your sister.

It's been solved, finally, my MX records were all mixed up due to past hosts, different nameservers, etc.

Sometimes I got emails with 7-8 days delay from Squirrel Mail and other webmails. The funny part is that I will get the new mails first and will notice an unread new 'old mail' at the bottom of the list.

ya i think gmail is the best and the fastest mail on net and i recommend everyone on net to use gmail.
