    Default Put a map access by train on a website

    Hello,

    I'm the webmaster of a school, and I need to create the "Map access" page, that's the page where we tell you how to go to the school, by car, by train and by plane. I've already done the "by car" part, I inserted a google map frame (i have a Google API key) which calculates the trip from any position in the world to the school, perfect.

    Now I want to create an interactive page for the "by train" part. Basically, what I want is that the users enter their location in a text box, and that it shows which train/subway to take to come to the nearest station from the school (i know the name of the station of course).
    I thought it was possible to do it with Google maps (there's an Iphone app which does it I think), but I have no idea how to do it on a website, so I need your help.

    Another idea is to make a link to transilien.com (I live in France, and this is THE website for traveling by train). Go to transilien.com/web/site, type anything in the first textbox (say "PARIS - GARE DE L'EST") and anything in the seconde textbox (for example "PARIS - GARE DU NORD"). Then click on the green "Trouver" button, and it will show you different trips to go from the starting to the finishing point, it's great. What I want, is that the visitors type their location on the school's website, and click on a button which will bring them to a transilien.com page and show them the ways to come to the school by train. Can anybody help me?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello, I will precise a little bit my question:

    On the transilien.com website, I want to change the "Arrivée" textbox's value from an <a href> link from another website. Is it possible.

    I tried typing
    Code:
    javascript:document.getElementById(lieuDepart).value='Hello';
    and
    Code:
    javascript:document.getElementById(RechercheFormSeDeplacer).lieuDepart.value='Hello';
    in the adress bar when I was on the transilien website but it didn't work.

    Can anyone help me?

    Forget the two post above.
    I have a new question: (sorry the website is in french, but the problem is simple).

    I want to pre-fill the "Arrivée" textbox on the website : voyages-sncf.com with any value, let's say "Hello".

    For example, on this link: maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=hello, one of the textboxs is pre-filled with "hello".

    I want to do the same thing on the voyages-sncf website.
    Why does voyages-sncf.com/?origin_city=hello not work?

    Anyone help me? Thanks a lot.
