iCanaHost.com and 247-host.com (same company) are major oversellers. I had gone through them with a special reseller package (I have a lot of my own sites, I wasn't planning on reselling ) that was $12.99 a month for 20 GB of space and 100 GB of bandwidth. That was the deal, along with a 99.9% uptime Guarantee.



However, this host proved only to be a waste of my time and money. Here are some clippings of the original emails about the downtime:

June 3rd

Hello,

I am concerned with the web site right now, it has been down twice for the last week. Downtimes are not just for a few minutes, they are for twelve hours or even more. I'd like to know what the problem is. I cannot even access my main account, **********.com, and nor can I access any

of my extra domains I added. cPanel, as well as Web Host Manager, cannot be accessed on any of the accounts. Please get this fixed ASAP.



This was specified when I ordered my hosting plan: 99.9% Uptime Guarantee :: Yes

The tech responded with:

We will be doing a complete system restore on this server to fix this in the next 24 hr.

Meanwhile my websites are still down. I cannot access FTP, cPanel, nor could I view them directly. 11 hours and 30 minutes later I sent in another email asking "What's the status on this?". The tech responded with:

June 4th

we are still working on this issue and hope to have fixed soon.

Nice response. Anyway, so far the sites have been down twice in one week and now for two days straight. Okay, so now FINALLY the sites are back up... for a little while. Shortly after they were back up, they were back down again the next day.



After informing the host of the problem,

June 5th

The server was compromised. we are doing a complete system restore and your sites will back up soon.

The host is back up again.

All sites are backup. Our techs were reinstalling the backup drive on the server so it went down for half hour.

Well, well, well, what do you know... the site is down again...

June 6th

I never got a response. I cancelled my account and requested an immediate refund.

My Overall Rating: D-

I don't recommend this host to anyone. However, now I can tell the difference between overselling and real deals.

I've been through enough hell hosts, there's no reason someone else should have to go through it.
