    Angry Stay away from IPowerweb.com

They got my email address wrong from the day I paid for their services, which meant they sent my login/password info to a stranger. After six months of fighting them, I was finally able to get it changed. They lie about the amount of webhosts they carry, they have only a few employees, who know nothing about customer service or computers. They dont read their own trouble tickets, and refer you to another department when they are unable to assist you. More holding, more emails, more support chat boxes, more people asking for your credit card number to be able to help, over and over and over again. It took a month for them to enable the admin feature of my tucows registrar access.
I canceled the account, but they won't refund any money. Their money back guarantee is a lie. I ordered them to stop automatic renewal from my debit card, but I dont trust them and put a stop on at the bank. This is truely an inept and crooked company. Other horror stories can be found at http://www.badwebhosts.com

oh wow, i have been with ipowerweb.com for 3 years come this august and it took 18 month to get my email address changed with them, in this last year i have had nothing good to say about them.

the email address was the 1st issue, then i was getting 20-30 time outs on my site a day, so after 2 months of this they told me it was a server problem and that i should change servers, so i said ok and they demanded that i pay $50 for them to move my site from the bad server to the new one.

WTF why should i pay for your crap server fault? so i backed up my site and said give me a new server and i'll install the site myself. 12 hours later still no email with the server details. so i get on to tech support again and they tell me they have sent it, so i asked where to, and low and behold they tell me the old email address that one of them told me they changed to the new one a month before.

So i get the details to my correct email and start to upload the site with my super duper 12MBit high speed connection, but a 400mb site takes 6 hours to upload to ipowerweb server because they throttle your FTP upload speed. more file size than speed, a 1mb file take less time to upload than 50 2KB files does.

6 hours later and the site is uploaded and installed, but a Database error on the main page. i get tech chat again and they till me i have to wait 48 hours for the DNS to resolve, i told them it has resolved thats why i am getting a database error and not the default image they put on the server.

I'll get level one tech to email you.12 hours later still no email, by this time my site has been down for 2 days and it is their fault not mine.

anyway 4 days later 3 servers later and i was up and running, server hacked within 4 months, their advice? move to another server.

i am running down the hosting time with them and moving to another host.
i wouldnt pay them $99 a year for hosting, not anymore

Wow that's insane, a host should be able to move yours sites literally in a few minutes w/o dns issues. I've had hosts upgrade my servers and it literally takes them minutes to move ALL of my sites and settings to a new server!

Same with me and my host company that I am a reseller for.

They send me nice little emails whenever they upgrade to new servers.
Never have to do a thing, all my sites and all my customer sites are moved in a heartbeat, with no down time.
They tell me they upgrade to new servers as they get more sites hosted on present servers, to keep the amount of sites on a server to a low level.

they moved me to an old server with older Mysql so my site couldn't work because my site was built with the new mysql database and down grading me to an old server with an older mysql was bad enough, asking me to pay them $50 to move my site from their bad server to a (what i thought, good server) is bad business. this is just a 1 site hosting package, $99 a year for 1 site.

it was just 1 site not a reseller package. the sad thing is i dont make money from my sexual health advice site, it's classed as adult by Google because of the sexual content, even though US law protects me and my site from adult site content laws, because as an educational site i am allowed to have 13 year olds access my site and see an erect penis or open vagina, as the images are medical and educational the law accepts that 13 year olds need access to such content, but google adsense won't accept it.

Don't feel so bad, Sammie. AdCents pays peanuts anyway. You can do better with affiliate programs.

There are lots of affiliate programs that would work on your site.

I'd just look around, there are many off the wall themed affiliate programs. If you're working with a younger crowd how about electronics, ring tones, games, etc.

my sexual health site is aimed at 13+ it falls under the unique position of being safe and allowed access by USA laws, but Google and most others ban it from adsense because it has adult content. but under usa law, it is educational and therefor does not fall under the adult/mature label.

the problem i have is if i use an affiliate that accepts adult, they then bombard my site with adult ads, there is no image of a sexual act on my site, an adult affiliate with hit every page with cum shots in 2 seconds flat.

that's why I would use affiliate programs where YOU control the ads. Even adult themed sites you can control the ads, look at alternative products, all depends on how risque you want to go on the site.

Not for your target country, sorry most of what I advertise is strictly US based. Maybe try some of the bigger networks, some allow you to search via country served. http://www.shareasale.com http://www.clixgalore.com are a few smaller ones you could try as well.
