WebberCo, Ltd = beware!

Hello,

I'm taking the time to inform you that WebberCo, Ltd (webberco.com) is a horrible company to deal with when it comes to web hosting. Firstly, after my account was set-up, I began uploading my websites. After I uploaded my websites, I extracted the zips. These zip files were small so it wasnt as if I was trying to unzip something huge (and spike the server). Anyhow, My websites ran flawlessly for 1 day before my account was suspended without reason or notification. I immediately contacted WebberCo and after they failed to respond (through email and digital point) I filed a PayPal claim.

Ultimately, they told PayPal that I violated the TOS but failed to point out any violations (because none of my sites were in violation of the TOS) and subsequently, I failed to get a refund for the 3 months worth of hosting that I had prepaid because hosting is considered a virtual item.

This is very odd, I am sorry about your experience. I am hosting many sites with WebberCo and have had nothing but an excellent experience. They're very helpful and prompt. Did you make sure not to host anything against their TOS?

This doesn't sound like the same company.. but I checked the site, it is.

I know, WebberCo is usually pretty good from what I've heard. I was well within my storage and bandwidth constraints (I watch Awstats like a hawk) and wasnt running a proxy or anything server intensive or illegal. Kinda odd.

Sorry about your troubles.

I had a similar problem with HostingZoom (aka ResellerZoom) a short time ago.
They started taking down my domains, one by one and never notified me about most of them.
The reason they gave: overloading the server. :evil:
(Apparently, their servers start to croak if you run a standard Wordpress install and receive more than 10 hits a day!!!)

Thats probably what they didnt like about me. I had one site pulling in 50k hits per month (but still well under my bandwidth allotment). The PHP I was running was VERY server friendly though.

Everytime I encountered a problem, they were right there getting everything solved. Even at times when I was frustrated, they kept their cool and got down to business...

They even solved problems I myself caused and they solved a couple issues which really weren't "problems" as much as they were my own prefs, even when they could have told me... "it's your server, you figure it out, or pay us to do it". All it took was a 2 second trouble ticket to explain my situation and they were always right there, willing and able to help.

I highly respect both Gene and Jin, as well as all other members of the support team. They really know how to get things done.

Speaking of my DP post, I cant wait till November when my ban is lifted. I guess I shouldn't have asked Shawn to follow through with his "free tech support for life" promise. His tech support consists of a forum where other users are equally as screwed. I think about 5 people were banned for calling his faux-pa but my DIGG on it probably didn't help.

After my emails ignored, I had sent a DP pm because my cpanel's were extremely slow, it literally took 3 hours to get the backup to even start. I told him this and here's his useless reply at DP via PM.

Idiot! As if I don't know how to backup, lol! He missed the whole point that his server was being extremely slow, nonetheless I've opened a hosting account elsewhere and put those sites on it.

I had no choice. I needed the backups to move away from webberco! lol! Believe me, I was getting peeved. I even went out to a movie, came back and it was still going!!
