Why is so much spam getting through?

Didn't know where to put this, for the last month I've been getting a lot of spam to my business emails, I have SpamAssassin enabled in cpanel and it's like it stopped working, any ideas?

What settings do you have spam assassin on? Depending on the level it can let more through, plus sometimes it takes a bit for the filters to catch on.

I never thought to configure it, I didn't have trouble til recently. When I click "enable" it says this:

Did you recently upgrade to Cpanel 11? There is a new version of Spam Assassin that comes with it. May need to be configured differently.

Yes, it's using cPanel 11. I don't know what to put in to configure it so this spam stops.

It could be the cpanel upgrade, my cpanel upgraded i then downgraded because of to many bugs. When it downgraded my spamassasin still worked but started to deliver the email marked spam instead of dropping it like i previously had it configured.

Do you have it setup to drop mail labeled spam?

Go to 'configure' and see what your current 'score' is

It had "required_score" set to 5.0

That's pretty agressive, I'd keep it there.
It could simply be the filters have not picked up the new spam yet.

I think part of it has to do with june and July are slow business month for internet, and companies offer promotions and whatnot for affilliates.

Well it all stopped after I raised the score as per the guidelines in my cpanel SpamAssassin page... it said to make it more like 8.0 to 10.0 I made it 8 but I also told it to delete spam instead... maybe that's why it stopped.

Just be careful with that. You could be losing legitimate e-mails too.

If I remember correctly 8 will actually filter less, the higher the number the 'less' strict the rules. Telling it to delete it though makes a huge difference, I finally went that route as well.

Nowdays as you can see a lot of spam activities are going on net and even digitalpoint is also full of scammers now.I think that now there are not honest people in this world.
