Thread: Is this site an enormous waste? Or is it helpful?

I just took over the website for this company and I really dislike this link page, but I am told that it helps the PR. I really have my doubts. Can you guys help me decide weather or not I can safely nuke this page?

You can safely get rid of it, it's a bunch of unrelated links equivalent to a link farm... I am guessing it's from exchanges too.

I agree. Might lose some exchanges, but in the long term would be for the best.

But with one change....
Don't eliminate the page (has pr3).
Just eliminate all the links.
Then use the page for something else.
(links? lol).
Or redirect that page to another page or the main page.

you need to identify if it is helpful or not by checking if it is related to yours and if it has a relevant links and higher PR.

Link Juice passed is the INITIAL_PASSABLE_AMOUNT / #_OF_LINKS....so no matter how much that has, it's not worth a lot. Sheer numbers killed it.

If you can take them out, do it. If for some reasons they need to stay there, enable "nofollow".

Way too many links.
For sure, I would never have my site on a page like that.

Maybe keep the 5 links at the top?
