Thread: Link Building - Various Questions

Hey everybody. I see people every day talk about link building and backlinks. I know what they are and how they work, but what I would really like to know is:

What is the first step in building backlinks for your website?
What kind of methods do you use to build backlinks?

I am new to this, and quite frankly, I have never even attempted link building, as I don't know how really. If anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Yeah, I've always put my link in my signature. Another thing I find out that helps is to put a keyword as the anchor text in my signature (Like my signature, Make Money Online). Then, every time I post, I get a backlink with the text 'Make Money Online' to my blog.

If you really want to build a good link to your site then you should start participating in to forums related to your niche and give links, do link exchange, start commenting on the blogs as well.....

You also can work on Article Submissions, Blog Submissions, Forum posting and social bookmarking.. All this will surely help you to achieve desired result.

Don't forget to submit to good directories as well, both free and paid directories.

Blog commenting is another best way to put in action and you can also submit your site in different article directories that will also help you to generate good backlinks.

Forums and blog commenting can be hard though. Make sure its dofollow!
