I'm working as a webmaster and know enough about SEO.

Well, I have heard many times about link bait technique but I exactly don't know what is link bait?

I will look forward for your suggestions.

I'm trying to improve ranking of my buyers agent site and hope your suggestions will be helpful for me.

LINK BAIT means to create something that naturally attract backlinks for your web page by getting people to talk about it, discussing it on forums, blogging about i, posting it on del.icio.us/Furl/Digg/Shoutwire and linking to it from their sites.

Linkbait is writing something interesting enough to catch people’s attention..

Yeah as the term says... you lure visitors into your site by means of creating something

that will make them interested and thus visit your site for more...

Just think of something that you know people are attract most.

Well said.. It creates more links to your site, which really do help you in the search engines.

a good example is writing a blog post about a famous band breaking up then posting it all over their fan forums and waiting for a reaction

That is a prime example of link bait.

Just have a juicy and informative news about your site niche, and the rest will follow, having a link bait shows that your site have quality contents ...

Link bait is basically is something that attracts your visitors to link to your site/blog.

A good example of link bait is a good and very interesting blog CONTENT.
