Thread: Hectic day of link building

I have spent nearly all of today 7am until 9pm (14 hours) on link building. I think I must have submitted to about 600 Directories and commented about 300 blogs, plus all the usual forum posting to promote sig links. I made sure that it was all different content being written each time so as not to look spammy and now I am completley knackered.

I really hope that all this work pays off and that I will not be penalised for all of this link building. Managed to find some good High PR sites too which was good and have already had acceptance on a lot of them. Seems people must have been approving lots of directory submissions today, usually takes a life time to get approved.

Yep and it's something that I definetly would not want to repeat in a hurry. Damn annoying thing is though, Google still have not indexed this site that I did all this for.

Not yet, which is a bit worrying but Google has been crawling the site so hopefully soon it will get indexed.

Unless every link you got was relevant (and not some general directory with a "category" for your site) you pretty much won't get much benefit from your adventure in link building.

you want to make sure every link you get is related to YOUR website you could have 1,000 NON related links to your site and i could have 10 and my 10 would be much better then your 1,000 trust me only get related links and thank me later

You should have spread the work out over 1-2 months. Google can penalize you if one day you have 0 links and the next you have 1000.

They were all quality related links and were based on the subject of my site. I would not have bothered with ones that were bad or unrelated. Chances are though, that most of these will be excepted over a period of a month or so, so there will not suddenly be 1000 links to my site. Most of the directories and blogs etc will take time to approve links so hopefully it will not look like spam. And all content that I posted was unique too.

Wow .... and still not indexed. Did you filled in correct url?

if thats the case you just need to wait a week or more to start seeing results
