Hi.
Links are the most important and valuable for a website and just a few quality links for site may boost ranking.
What kind of strategies do you mainly implement for backlinks?
Please share.....

I'm trying to write good content ... backlinks will come naturally after.

In getting backlinks just follow the basic link building process. You have to be patience to get the results.

Just do the basic blog commenting etc.

blog comments, article submission with good content. You have to be patient enough before you actually start yielding results!

go to competitors websites and see where they got their backlinks. that strategy allowed me to find industry-relevant directories and discussion forums.

blog commenting and forum posting...

Also, article marketing is pretty cool.

i try to find directories in my niche and see if they sell site wide text links if they do and the price is reasonable i buy it with the keyword in the anchor.

Forum posting is one source of getting backlinks for your site...

My strategy for getting back links is simple.

Step 1...Drink Beer
Step 2...post in blogs
Step 3...Drink more beer
Step 4...Post in forums

Repeat this all night until you get banned or you cannot spell.

It works for me because I rank for thousands of misspelled words.

Forums are great if they are in your niche.

Niche directories are great. I made a 8k deal from a free niche directory link.

Well what i'm trying to do, is exchangeing uniqie articles(with links reffering to my webpage) with other sites related to my main projekt, this way it is a littlebit easyer to get people linking to my site. Also the refferer will have something to win: uniqie article on his site may make his/her visitators happy... and we all know that happy visitators come back :-D

As a website owner, I absolutely despise those emails, they are annoying and intrusive.

Hey Collen you find my link request annoying :stongue:

If you're selling services or some particular product you can try posting to classified ads sites that allow anchor text and a link in the body content.

Good list. Another way to build links is to ask for them. It's one of the hardest ways to get links but they tend to be the valuable.

I've spent about 1 year making a list of how to get backlinks for a new site to advanced promotion...just a simple 1 page list in Notepad, but it's very effective...

I'd recommend writing down what you are doing and how you did it for your next sites.

People who think that backlinks will follow when creating unique content are a bit naive. All of your concurents will buy/trade links and if you don't have a really unique product you're screwed without trading/buying links.

Well that depends upon your niche too. I mean if you are promoting a site about credit cards, mortgage, viagara, etc you probably wont see very many other webmasters linking to you just for fun. But if you have a site with unique well written content that is truly interesting to the general public your backlinks will grow very quickly because others will want to tell their visitors "hey check out this cool site"

-Directory submission
-Article submission
-Blog commenting
-Social bookmarking
-Reciprocal link exchange

Just simple way.

Try to do some link exchange with relevant sites and article submission will also give you the best result .

But try to submit unique content for article sites atleast change the title and the introductory paragraphs

everything goes in circles, and if you got dizzed up.. outsource and relax

Minus the beer, sub it with coke and that's what happening to me.

Mix it up a bit. What works today may not work as well tomorrow.

Every possible and good way I can gain links, I do it.

I usually try a bit of everything then at least some of it will be effective.

I usually write an interesting article on my blogs. I find this effective for adding quality backlinks for my main site.

Right now, I am doing blog commenting and exchanging links to relevant sites and as you can see I am engaging into forum posting.

I'm getting negative on the article submissions. Enzine, squido, hubpages, blogspots etc are all good ways to pick up backlinks and traffic. Press releases are great for traffic but you may not get a backlink out of it.

3 way link exchange can be good. But usually the 3 way is a bad deal for the second party.
