Link exchange questions!

I would like to raise the question on link exchange to gather all the most important advices on this matter! What useful instructions would you recommend to follow when performing link exchange procedure for a website? Personally I would like to do link exchange with topic related websites only and pay the special attention to website page rank! Also, I put different key phrases which exist at my website into external and internal link text! Also, I use different tittles and descriptions for each website I do link exchange for.

The Internet is based on links. If there weren't links, the Internet wouldn't exist. For this reason, if you find a good web site or relevant site with good content you should link to that site or ask them to link to your site.

When looking for link exchanges what I do is I get in Google, Yahoo and MSN and look for the keywords I am trying to get listed for and I visit each of these websites and find the ones I can possibly get links from in the top 20 of each search engine and I set out and get the appropriate links and watch my rank increase over time.

When asking for links always have their website already featured on your page and let them know where they can find it. Let them have an idea what your website is about and tell them you would like for them to link to xyz page and ensure give them the title of your website with your keyword-filled anchor text and your description.. and most cases they will link back to you if you have some quality content on your website and its related to their website.

You really hustle the search engines if you just do this on a constant basis.

I suggest it is better to do link exchange rather with one topic related website than with 5 not topic related ones!

I would also take into consideration the level of traffic the site for that matter. PR gained from reciprocal links are almost weightless.

use different anchor text that all relate to you website for every link exchange.

Hi! I'm new to what people call SEO, but isn't it better if when you change links, you use same keyword many times? As i understood, it should work better :-)

Link exchange is fine, unless your trading with like 100s sites. you have to remember it's your website, so do what you want.

You're doing fine. I think you shouldn't worry about the PR of the websites of your future link partners as long as they are related to your website and it will help your visitors...

About this thread link exchange is not beneficial like one way link but also not valueless.

If we success to get links from good PR and our theme related websites then we can get sure some PR juice and also additional traffics.

I don't do link exchange anymore this days but here's what I used to look for in a possible link exchange partner.

The page where my link will be listed should be indexed in Google, MSN & Yahoo.
The links on the page where my link will be listed should be related to my niche.
The number of links on the page where my link will be listed should be 30 or less.
The links must not have nofollow tag or using a redirect.
When considering the PR of the page check for fake PR.

It is better to link exchange on the same niche and affiliates for better SERP, and also try to offer putting their links on your blog, for faster actions...
