Advertising(such as google adsense)

Classified ads (depends on your topic)
Webmaster Interviews (if you have some rep)
Creating good content that people will spontaneously link to without you having to ask (this will get you the rep)

Creating excellent content also helps you to get backlinks!

Article directory submission & Link exchange with topic related sites do pretty great with the serps and articles are the best way for higher serps

Signatures and Forum Posting are the most widely used, but you must post in related niches for them.

I don't do Search Engine Submissions, Quality backlinks from related site is important with good quality content...

Well said.. amongh those forum work fine and better concentrate only in little metords but work properly ...regulerly

I would like to add Dofollow Blog commenting and also maintain related quality link exchange.

I don't think SE submission is necessary. As well as Press Release submission.

I agreee with those things, surely they will help in a great way to increase link popularity. Quality content is needed along with that.

Yes, I agree with you guys, backlinks from forums work quite good, but it should be noted that forum posting should be also performed regularly.

Use Squidoo and Twitter.. and expect a good amount of traffic on your site!

I agreed. I also use memo keys and have my marketing pitch save in it, so when I am in twitter it takes me a few sec to enter my promo.

So if we have to post in related and niche forums, will it be useless posting in SEO forums like this one here? Will the signature links in SEO forums be of no use to me?
