Thread: Link Building or Link Exchange?

Hi,

I have done both directory submission and link exchange for my site. Now i want to know that which one is more powerful to increase my PR, Google cash and traffic? All replay are appreciated very much.

The higher PR link back will be more valuable!

one way incoming links are of a bigger value, as exchange links are easy to track and at some point devalued (well perhaps not all of them).

I think one way links is better than link exchange.

If you exchange your link with high PR and theme related website then you can get PR juice and traffics from there but if you are using link exchange program with low PR sites then links are not more valuable.

LOL! Link Exchange is "part" of the Link Building campaign. :smartass:

to make it more effective.. target do follow sites that has higher page ranking and also relevant to your site.. remember that quality backlinks are far more better than the quantity of links.

Yeah, about a year ago . two way links have little value, not like they used to. You have to start using social bookmarking. I have an automated socialbook marking software, if you want I can socially bookmark your site for free. And that goes for anyone less, too. maybe up to 5. ( I hope I am not going to get into trouble for posting this)

Directory submission is waste.. link exchange is better and will get some link juice

Link exchange is a part of link building, and those who say it's "useless" can't call theirselves professional SEO's.

If you get a link exchange from a high PR website, you got a quality link.

This means that direct link exchanges will have less or no weight when compared to the Incoming links.

I agree that one-way link is more beneficial done 2-3 way specially if it is relevant to your site. I usually avoid link exchanges since it increase my outbound links and doesn't make any big effects (except if your exchange with high PR sites)

Link building only, at my mind.

One way link is better.. I don't concentrate on link exchange..

I think it would be more valuable if the link back is relevant to your site's niche.. Google gives more value on the relevancy of the site.

You cant beat relevant high PR links. Directorys cant compete with that

Avoid direct link exchanges, even 3-way exchanges if they are from the same IP range.

BTW link exchange is also a part of link building.

So if you will think only about link building then you have to complete all important link building way like article submission, social bookmarking, link exchange, 3 way link exchange etc.

link exchange can give you a quality backlink from relevant site, SE's gives more weight on links coming from a relevant site...

If you get one way high PR backlink for your site than also it help you to get good PR and also improves your search engine ranking position for your site.

Both are good, but from my experiance the one that has helped me most is article promotion and video promotion. youtube.com is the most used video site (alexa ranking) and ezinearticles.com is the number one article site (alexa ranking).

The higher PR link back will be good 4 your site ...

I would say link exchange with sites that have high page rank.

I will go for link buiding. Its better than link exchange.
