what would be better for a new site:
1000 links from PR 0
or
1 link from PR 3?

The 1000 PR0 will probably be better, unless of course they are not from penalized sites that don't comply with Google's rules...

It ia not juat the quantity but more the quality and relation of the links to your content.

1000 PR0 links is much better. Even if you have backlinks from social bookmarks and articles, they are still PR0 even if the directory or social bookmarking site have PR because the bookmark and articles that you are submitting starts its own page and have PR0.

Luckily and fast, if you have 1000 PR0 backlinks, it is still that heavy and Google will respect it and give you credit provided that the links are coming from relevant sites.

The 1000 links are much more valuable for the keyword optimization.

1000 links anything as they are from different sites and have fresh content

Of course 1000links! The more links you have is the more chances that Google will index your quality links.

I didn't know this. I always was looking for PR1+ sites to get backlinks

I will go for 1000 links from PR0 but if the questions says 1000 PR0 to 20 PR4 links I will go to PR4 links.

You can still increase your link popularity and back links with PR0 sites. And You can also get a lot of referring traffic from 1000 sites which is more important than getting the PR juice./

ofcourse 1000pr0 is way better than 1 pr3...

I think 1000 links is better as you are likely to get more traffic even if your page rank is too low or zero. I think you have chances to improve it if you hard on your site.

Both of those options sound pretty weak to me, but 1000 links from PR0 would probably have at least slightly more of an impact.

Building quality links is much important for your site, it should be an ongoing process of research, communication and attaining quality in-coming links to your web site.

1000 links from PR 0 is better than 1 link from PR 3? When you get more back links there is a chance google will index your links.

it is better a link on PR3 site. quantity is not enough to boost your rank it's the quality..

IMHO 1000 links from PR 0.

It is not based on the quantity and PR of a site. It is based on the quality of back links. Google gives more value on the QUALITY compared to those irrelevant sites that you are getting. Quality is better than quantity remember?

1 links for quality rank, becoz the rank is indicate the visitors...more visitors come to my partner link, more traffic comes to my site...

I my view 1000 link is better than one pr3 link.100 link is much better for your keyword.

I fully agree with you. Relevancy and naturalness - that's really important.

you should consider the quality of 1000 links
because it is easy to got penalty

but in general 1000 links are better

Some search engines like Google, gives more importance to sites having more number of quality backlinks. This gives better positions in search engines, and improve the traffic to your site. Some other search engines consider keyword and content relevance of a site, they also consider number of quality inbound links.

hmm right i think that's better if we build quality link.

1 link with the Pr3 is best because if u have 1000 or more link but pr0 then no any visitor vist your website.

Most of the forum signature links are also PR 0. Does that mean they are of no use?
I care for links from relevant sites even if they are PR 0.

If the PR 0 websites are actually PR 0 (indexed and assigned PR) and they are relevant then I would take the 1000. If they were link farm links or links which had nothing to do with my niche I would take the PR 3 link. The only problem is getting a PR 3 link is quite trickey they are not handed out everywhere so usually we must work with what we got. I got PR 3 by build links from PR 0-1 sites now I have an instant PR 3 link for all of my new websites which makes getting indexed quite easy.

1000 links? hmmm... for me it's good as long as those sites are google friendly.

I will go for the 1000 PR0 backlinks but be sure that those backlinks are having their quality because its the quality that counts

Getting 1000 PR 0 links is good because many a times the PR of the page goes on increasing. But i'll try to get live PR3-5 links instead of so many PR0 links.

I think 1000 PR0 because chances are in those 1000 PR0 backlinks you got surely when time of an update loads of them will surely increase its ranking so it is much better to get as many as backlinks as you can get and PR0 is indeed a good choice as well

I usually have link in PR0 because they are easy to find. As I'm searching for sites to comment on, I will stumble upon PR2,3 even 6 sites every once in a while but I don't make it a habit to only post on high PR sites.

Be careful to don't get all the 1000 links in a short time or google will treat it like something suspicious.

I don't think it will be treated like it's suspicious, but it won't really count for much, either.
