What link building strategy worked best for you?
For me it is directory submission to free pr directories, getting some homepage links and forum posting combination.

3-way link trades and blogroll trades. I have done well with incoming site-wide links and homepage links.

Forum posts work for me better too as forums are live places with real people and real interests.

what works for me is article posting and forum posting on some do follow forums. Because it brings actual traffic to your site and your site can get index easily.

Do pr directory submission,Social book marking,Article & 3 way link exchange .

Guest blogging has worked for me a great deal. Its free, simple and easy to find, not forgetting the free publicity you get . The reason this works like a dream is because visitors to the blog always click through to learn more about the author.

The best thing and it's free is directory submission...

Well for me, the best link building strategy that works for me is forum posting, blog commenting, social bookmarking and article submission.

What worked well for me is social bookmarking and directories.

banner exchange, link exchange, forum posting, linkwheeling...i tried all and now, I am getting 1k to 2k traffic per day for the past 3 weeks...whewww...but 0% conversion at least there is traffic

Someone mentioned banner exchange, but I'm not sure lots of people actually click on banners unless they're catchy and interesting. I might have to try then and see if they'll work for me as well.

For me, the link building strategies that works is the social bookmarkings and classified ads..

yeah you should try...I am using 1800banners.com they lots of credits and you have option to monetize your traffic via cpm and they also have interstitual ads. but of course, your blog must be very attractive too so that bounce rate will be minimized.

Probably article submission and a presence on some of the better directories.

Article submission is definitely worked the best so far and social bookmarking seems to be getting some good results as well.
