Doesn`t press release refer to a real, newspaper?

Any link is a good link--from sources such as directory submissions and press releases--that includes the keyword in the anchor text. Don’t be too focused on what type of link or its source. Also, forum signatures...

I tried posting classified ads for links.... but usually, anchor text are not allowed.

I am not much good with link building but forum signatures and social bookmarking sites works good.

Forum signatures work rather well, but socila networks - no! they are all nofollow and they give only traffic to your site, but not so much for SEO.

5) Asking Website Owners For Link

I have tried this but most webmasters wont give you a link for free or they want one in return.

Does anyone know good do classified ads websites? Because I want to sell but also increase my website popularity.

Article marketing is good for link.
Some site give you also 3 free link for article.

Forum Posting. I love that.

Don't randomly include a link for non relevant answers. Only include link if it is relvant. Also, increasing your level will help build PR. Also, emailing webmasters or managers of websites to add your link can help. Although many do add your link.

There are two links above that have some social networking and forum sites that may offer links. Some of them may be no-follow links. But they can give you a good start! Don't spam your site though. Don't just register on forums and just add your link. Build trust first!

Updating your blog and site with fresh content often is also necessary and very important in link building.

I thought google was ban Squidoo , I'm wrong?

I have not been really doing everything that I should be doing when it comes to my link building.

I am kind of lazy, but atleast I admit.

All I do is the Following:

1) Social Media (myspace, facebook, twitter)
2) Directory Submission
3) Have only joined one forum (this one)
4) Bookmarking (currently only using delicious)
5) Provide Quality Content (people overlook this one, but having good content will provided you with the kind of backlinks that you want, ones that other people create because they find your site good enough to want to link to)

Things that I know I should do, have just have yet to:

1) Create a Blog
2) Write Articles
3) Submit to more Social Bookmarking Services
4) Join more Forums
5) Post on Other's Blogs

Things that I will Never do:

1) Pay/Sell for Links
2) Email Marketing
3) Promote/Sell/Link to Spam

I found blog commenting extremely fastidious. Especially knowing the fact that half of them moderate the comments, and do not always publish them. Furthermore I am trying to target a certain region, and to find blogs that allow dofollow commenting, and that are from the areas targetted is really really fastidious

In another train of thoughts, bookmarking and posting on forums and blogs are the most common link-building methods. If they are used with common sense, the results will be notable.

Engagements on those medium of social marketing surely provides you with an access to having links. I think it is just a matter of delivering a valuable content for your site to gain as well valuable links.

Write original articles and submit them in directories. Set up blogs, comment on frum posting, social bookmarking and participation in social networking sites will boost your link building campaign.

These Techniques are getting high quality inbound links for a website...

You can create several blogs and connect them as a link wheel. Or you can use sites like squiddo, xganga, hubpages... for same thing.

Anything that offers DoFollow links and is indexed is worth it.

I have used everything here except purchasing links, i think these are good ways to apply for doing the best link building.

What about Paid link? Is it healthy for a website ? I have heard that Google hates paid links and if it tracks you, your website will get banned permanently.

You forgot to add on the list the two famous link building method. FORUM posting and Social Bookmarking.

Type appropriate text before linking. Always remember the user name and password.
