If there are 3 websites of same IP, shall i exchange links with all three?
some say that Google thinks of of same-IP websites as one unit only.
Is it true?

Google considers website's on same ip as one website. So, its better that you exchange your links with websites on different IPs.

I would also go just for one link, as there is a possibility, that google considers them as one unit. But it hasn't been confirmed by anyone and you won't get any penalty or something by doing it.

So it means we need a lot of IP address to create a quality links? How about using multiple ip address software?
