I think we are getting too many of these posts that say the same thing. Increasing backlinks and traffic has been discussed. It's time to search the forum, read whats there, and come up with more specific questions for a change.

In all honesty the OP is right in what he is saying BUT its been said a million times so its not really bought any added value to the forum.

Saying that, if you have a new website and want to generate traffic to it then these are the routes to go down, as said they are free and will generate good traffic.

What would be very useful is a list of all the sites that are relevant to each thing mentioned, so...a list of article submission sites, a list of social bookmarking sites etc

This all are free and simple ways to marketing of your site. I think article submission and blog reviews are good way. You get permanent back links.

I like that you guest blog but I really hope you don't mix that with article submission. I hate people who spin their articles to try to make unique content just to get links.

If you can build back links to your website you will increase the amount traffic to your website for no cost other than time.

To get back links for the website:
1. Submitting the site in the Directories which are having good PR.
2. Submitting the articles to promote the content and the content should be fresh for each and every article that you post. Some of the main Article Submission sites where we can get more back links to the website and we need to do on regular basis.

Forum Posting and article Submission is the best way for back link. Almost all the Forms allow you to leave signature, or link in the post or reply with dofollow. In article you should use keywords as an anchor text.

You all seem to forgot about one very effective method (a bit slow at the begging but it pays of later) and that is linkwheel. Making powerful linkwheel structure with additional outside link structure is great way to get "secure" links, since you have control over them, and you don't have to worry that someone will delete your post and you will lose valuable link.

You may also include social networking in your list of free links. They are good in generating backlinks.

in my opinion blog commenting and article submission at fast approval sites are very much beneficial to build links.

I just wrote an article about another way to build links by connecting with others. If you write great content and make friends online you'll see that others will start recommending your content and you'll be gaining links without having to think about it! :happy-f: And this is just one of the ways great content will get you links.
