If you don't mind me asking, why limit your article marketing to just do-follow sites? I understand their higher perceived value, but I suspect that google would prefer to see a more natural linking profile that actually includes some no-follow links.

I agree. But taking the time to write a unique article for posting on a no-follow site seems like a waste. Better to generate no-follow links from forum and blog posts that don’t take so long. That satisfies the natural link profile criteria while making the best use of one’s resources.

Yes, only dofollow will give bonuses in this case.

Google suspects article sites as content farm,this was proven with the Panda update..Matt has indicated guest blogging as compared to article submissions.

You can also try guest blogging, search for high PR blogs in your niche and send an email to them offering to contribute an unique article.
