Thread: Buying Links related to your site theme

Hi,

If we buy links related to our site theme, will that also affect our search engine ranking?

If we do this,will that lead to Google penalizing us.

I personally do not prefer to buy links for my sites. I believe that one should build backlinks natural way by applying different link building techniques. Even Google does not consider them as a backlink and as per my point of view, link buying can affect your site's SERP also.

Search engines frown upon excessive link buying because they want high quality results and not any that seem to be manipulated. Here’s Matt Cutts clearly dismissing link buying strategy-

It can do if they detect unnatural link building patterns.
