Hi guys out here,

Link Exchanging is the process of exchanging text links or banner links between websites. The use of link exchanges helps improve traffic, through numerous inbound links so users on other websites can click through. Exchanging links is normally a free process, which makes link exchanges cost effective. Another benefit of exchanging links is that it helps improve placement in the search engines.

1. What type of link should i need to exchange?
100% static links not using ref=nofollow. And related to your site niche.

2. How can i decide that who is good for exchange?
Just search that guys post and take a look on its itrades. Dont forget to see it joining Date too.

3. Is this right to take link on pr0?
Yes, but the most important thing is that sites niche.

4. What should i do when mine exchanged link is removed?
In this case you 1st need to contact that guy from who exchange it with you. If he/she don't reply you then you remove his/her back link which you provide at time of exchange. Left a Negative itrade so other guys also get warned.

Make a list of link exchange did, not only here every time when you do.

you need to be extra careful now since the big G is starting to crack down on link buying and exchanges. They will wipe out your PR over night if your not careful. the last PR update was the warning shot so expect the next one to be heavier.

heres a perfectly good reason by Matt to help you understand why google is doing this.

a lot of webmasters are starting to add the no follow rule so they don't lose the hard PR they have worked so hard to gain. It all boils down to make the right decision for your business.

But i think i am talking about Link Exchange not Paid links...

i know. But they don't know what the difference is. They will crack down on whatever they think is a paid link. even if it isn't.

But this is exchange how can they down this..?

thats the argument a lot of people are giving. I know a lot of webmasters who arent taking any chances.

heres a thread to give you an example.

Hmm well i think exchanges need to go for only 2 ways link exchange like

A link to B and B link to A That its! There is No C...

That is not the case people.

Google is not hunting down sites for elimination if they find links on the site.

Otherwise every single directory of every type would be pr0 and not indexed by google.

Otherwise this forum, and every other forum on the net would have no pr! Or be indexed.

Fearmongers pass this stuff on so that newbies (well, newbies pass it on) will be afraid to buy, sell and trade links.

no dont get me wrong im not saying to stop im just saying take the information posted and make a decision. i have seen sites lose all pr over night.

was a pr 5 and now 0. the owner has no idea and im sure this new google link war might (small chance) be the reason.

you don't know as you don't work for google so you can be sure that this is all BS. me myself am not using the no follow rule on any site until i see it happen to me.

i was simply posting the info so each member can make their own assumptions.

And I have seen sites gain pr over night!
Any webmaster who decides not to buy, sell or trade links is welcome to do so.

But to stop just because of fear of google that so many like to post on forums is plain ridiculous.

well everyone thinks and evaluates differently. You can't force someone to do something just put the information out in front and let them analyze it themselves.

me personally i don't worry about what G is going to do to me IF this is true. ill cross that bridge when it comes i guess.

I like to do my own little tests and learn from them.

Link Exchange..???

I hope you're not talking about reciprocal links...

reciprocal links are being devalued by SEs now..one way quality links are superior among the other type

So that is where my spam comes from on people wanting to exchange links with me.
They see my posts and my itrades on this and other forums, and think, good old iowadawg just needs to exchange links with me, even though I am a noob with few posts and no itrades.
