When I first started my home-based business, I had no clue of what was involved in starting a business. As the years have gone by, I have learned that one needs skills to develop a business and the only way you are going to learn these skills is to start a business. These skills are not taught in school and you won't learn them from a job.
I recently learned about the importance of marketing. In fact, one of the primary reasons I joined my current business is because it teaches you how to market your business. You get a lot of help from others in the group.
Marketing is a skill. It is a skill that you can only develop by doing over and over again; making mistakes, failing, learning from your mistakes and failures and moving forward. This skill is not easy to learn. But, once you do, it won't matter what service or product you are selling, but if you possess this skill, and learn a couple of must skillsets, you will have a very successful business.
