Thread: What results have you had with article marketing???

I am starting to get back into article marketing to promote my web site and affiliate products, but I still wonder if it's worth my time. Can you tell me what results you've had and how long it took be successful. Thank you

mixed results - it does take quite a bit of work. I started being more successful at it when I focused on also building backlinks to the articles I had written. This dramatically increase click throughs.

Although this marketing technique is completely white hat, it is not able to bring quick results. I prefer to use this tool as addictional method of promotion.

With article marketing you could increase your sales or traffic, just think about it this way. By submitting your articles with a signature link of your site, you are increasing your backlinks and SERP and at the same time inviting people to visit your site once they have read your article. So it is like catching two birds with one stone

I have had pretty good results, but I use it more for link building than traffic. If you are using article marketing to bring in traffic (and therefore sales) then I recommend that you do your keyword research and go after long tail keywords for your article titles. Submit your articles to ezinearticles, goarticles, squidoo, hubpages, and buzzle mainly as these are the top sites for ranking high in the search engines (ezinearticles more than any of the others in my POV).

It can be a mixed bag. At the very least it is extra backlinks and some will deliver a reasonable amount of traffic.

If you put a link to your site into the Author's information box, you get backlinks, whichinprove your link popularity.

I have gotten backlinks Yes

Traffic from articles NO

I almost feel they are a waste of time and money to do.

Honestly, I'm not getting a good traffic with article submisison. But I find it helpful when it comes in indexing my website. I tried submitting my article in many article directory but I find out that its better to submit it only in top 10 article directory.

Article marketing will give you plenty of positive result if you do more than just writing and submitting the articles.

You are right. Quality is always better than quantity.
