Site Popularity, what you think

Hey guys Matthew Bagley here from Paramiliar Design Studios.

I'm looking for some advice. Now over at Paramiliar I have developed a Site Popularity report which basicly is a report telling you how well your site is doing in popularity (of course we cant measure visitors or anything like that but it is fairly accurate!)

Now there has been talk of expanding it but there are two ideas.

1) Automate the system and allow visitors to signup to receive free weekly reports on both their website and upto 9 competitors

2) Generate the report for every page on the website thus allowing individual pages to be monitored.

Now we would love to do both but ideally we want to know what would be more usefull to website owners.

So if you could post some comments and feedback here it would be very much appreciated.

Hi Matthew!

That is a nice concept and for sure a lot of webmasters would benefit from it

Both sounds great but if I were to choose one, I would go for number 2. By the way, is that free or something?

Just a little update the membership system has been created and is nor ready for content however not had much free time to get the site up and running

hoping to get some time today to spend on the CMS and the forums

Number 1 would interest me as long as it wasn't stupidly commercial and packed with ads. Sure you've gotta cover your costs but as your target market is industry professionals they can see when you're taking the piss with the amount of adverts quite easily.

It's a fantastic idea, it will all depend on how well it is executed. I wish you the best of luck!

Hey there,

I tested out the program - looks great, and the results were quick too.

Question for you - where are you monitoring the returns links from? Any particular search engine, or are you pulling that info from Alexa?
